How often should you check your first aid kit?
Check the expiry dates in your first aid kit every 6 months.
Expired sterile dressings can lose their sterility. EHBO-koffer.be says a check every six months to once a year; dressings keep for about 4 years on average. Note straight away what you need to replace.
- Take everything out of the kit
- Check the expiry dates of sterile dressings and supplies
- Remove and note what needs replacing
- Put everything back neatly
