How often should you clean your vacuum cleaner filter?
Clean the dust container and the filter of your vacuum cleaner once a month.
A full container or a clogged filter reduces suction and can strain the motor. PartsNL also recommends replacing the filter itself at least once a year. If you have pets or vacuum a lot, clean it more often. Let a washed filter dry for at least 24 hours.
- Empty the dust container or replace the bag
- Take out washable filters and tap out coarse dust
- Wash washable filters if applicable and let them dry completely (at least 24h)
- Put dry filters back before use
