How often should you replace your coffee water filter?
Replace the water filter of your coffee machine every 2 months.
A saturated filter lets limescale and impurities through again. Your machine then scales up faster and your coffee tastes different. Philips recommends changing the Brita Intenza filter every 2 months; with hard water it may be needed sooner.
- Remove the empty water tank
- Take the old filter cartridge out of the holder
- Briefly rinse the new filter under the tap
- Insert the new filter and fill the tank with fresh water
5 to 10 minutes.
