How often should you replace your hood’s carbon filter?

Replace your cooker hood’s carbon filter every 6 months. If you cook or deep-fry a lot, every 3 to 4 months.

A saturated carbon filter no longer stops odours, and your cooker hood works less well. This filter is only found in a recirculating cooker hood.

1. Switch off the hood and remove the grease filter
2. Take the old carbon filter out of the holder
3. Fit the new carbon filter until it clicks into place
4. Put the grease filter back

5 to 10 minutes.
