How often should you clean your dryer’s condenser?

Clean the condenser of your tumble dryer every 6 months, or sooner as soon as the indicator on the display lights up.

Limescale and lint on the condenser reduce drying efficiency and make drying take a lot longer. The 6 months is AEG’s advice for a heat pump dryer; with a regular condenser dryer, follow the message on the display. Empty the water container after every drying cycle.

1. Open the bottom panel or the condenser flap
2. Remove the condenser and rinse with lukewarm water
3. Empty and rinse the water container
4. Put everything back dry and firmly in place

10 to 20 minutes.
