How often should you clean your dishwasher filter?
Clean your dishwasher filter once a month.
A clogged filter gives poorer washing results and a bad smell, and puts strain on the drain pump. If you use the dishwasher daily, a lot of food residue is left behind or your water is hard, rinse the filter more often: every two weeks or even weekly.
- Unscrew the coarse and fine filter at the bottom of the dishwasher
- Rinse food residue off under the tap
- Brush off stubborn dirt
- Put the filter back and check that it clicks firmly into place
5 to 15 minutes.
