How often should you clean your washing machine seal?
Clean the rubber door seal of your washing machine once a month and do the detergent drawer at the same time.
Moisture and detergent residue in the seal and drawer quickly lead to mould and a musty smell. Bosch recommends checking and cleaning the rubber once a month, and the drawer regularly. Leave both open afterwards to dry, and do it more often if your machine runs a lot or stands in a damp room.
- Fold open the rubber seal and remove dirt and lint
- Wipe with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner
- Pull out the detergent drawer and rinse away residue
- Leave the seal and drawer open to dry
10 to 15 minutes.
