How often should you dust your ventilation grilles?

Dust your ventilation grilles once a year, and more often if they look dirty.

Dirty grilles let in less fresh air, so air quality and the removal of moisture get worse. Renson recommends checking grilles at least once a year, and the air ducts every 5 years. Take the grilles off, vacuum them and wipe them with a damp cloth.

1. Remove the grilles from the wall or window vents
2. Vacuum them and wipe with a damp cloth
3. Vacuum as far as possible into the visible duct
4. Put the grilles back

20 to 30 minutes.
