How often should you replace your pillows?

Replace your pillow every 2 years. A polyester pillow is often worn out after 1 year.

Over the years a pillow loses its shape and supports your neck less well. Dust mites and dirt also build up inside. If it stays flat after fluffing or you wake up with aches, replace it sooner.

  1. Fold the pillow in half: if it does not spring back, it is worn out
  2. Check for stains, lumps and smells
  3. Choose a pillow that suits your sleeping position
  4. Write the purchase date on the label
