How often should you deep clean your barbecue?
Deep clean your barbecue grate every 3 months during the barbecue season in spring and summer. On top of that, brush the grate after every use.
Built-up grease can catch fire at high temperatures and affects the taste of your next dishes. Weber recommends a deep clean every three months with frequent use, and a full top-to-bottom clean at least twice a year. Also empty the grease tray after every use.
- Let the grate cool down and remove loose ash
- Soak or treat with degreaser according to the label
- Scrub off stubborn grease and burnt-on residue
- Rinse and dry well before the next use
