How often should you scarify your lawn?
Scarify and feed your lawn once a year, preferably in spring.
A layer of thatch and moss smothers the grass and hinders the uptake of water and nutrients. DCM recommends scarifying only once a year, because it’s a drastic treatment for your lawn; autumn works too.
- Mow the lawn short before scarifying
- Scarify in two directions to loosen moss and thatch
- Clear away the loosened material
- Feed according to the recommended dose on the packaging
1.5 to 2.5 hours.
- scarifier or scarifying rake
- lawn fertiliser
Your routine is only saved once you confirm. No account, on this device.
This is a general guideline. Always follow the manual of your appliance or product too.
