How often should you winterise your garden furniture?

Once a year, in autumn: clean your garden furniture, let it dry and store it somewhere dry or cover it.

Damp and frost make garden furniture weather, rust or crack faster. Hubo recommends protecting your garden furniture from cold and rain in winter, and GAMMA gives it a dry spot after the summer, such as a shed or shelter. Preferably don’t cover wooden furniture with a tarpaulin, as condensation can form underneath.

1. Clean the dust and dirt off the furniture
2. Let it dry completely
3. Store cushions somewhere dry indoors
4. Cover the rest with a waterproof cover or store it in the carport/shed
